These hounds of hell called Iron Angel are yet another great thrashing band from Germany. The founding members drummer Mike Matthes and bassist Thorsten Lohmann started the band in April 1983 after leaving their previous band METAL GODS. They wanted to play in a faster and heavier band. A month later they got guitarists Sven Struven and Peter Wittke. This was going to be the complete line-up but none of them could sing, so in less then a month they got Dirk Schroder to complete the line-up. Iron Angel's music is described by them as "a mixture of Speed/Black with Heavy Metal", lyricly it's mostly satanic and musicly there's lots of speed and power!.
