After the tragic death of original singer/guitarist Ēriks Ķiģelis in 1986 after a car accident, Ainars Virga joined the band thus starting a new era – the era of anthemic ballads, hard hitting heavy rock tunes and rebellious philosophy.Virga composed some of the best-known Latvian hard rock songs. Virga was a declared fan of Black Sabbath, Scorpions, Deep Purple and this influence is pretty clear in the new Livi's musical direction. Their lyrics are notable for their anti-soviet propaganda and their patriotism
This beautiful CD edition made a few years ago (very difficult to get outside of the country) includes also their Live Tape recorded in 1987, when they were already a full hrd rock/heavy metal band. Enjoy it!
