The band split-up some time after the release of this single, but should later have regrouped in 1987 and recorded some material together with with ex-UFO bassist Paul Gray and guitarist Patrik Karlsson. It was never released (if someone have it please get in touch)!.

Heavy Loads last full-lenght and hell of a good one! all in the same vein as the "Death or Glory" album. The awesome cover art was made by Johan Holm even this time. A cool fact is that no one less than Phil Lynnot (Thin Lizzy) play bass on the songs "Free" & "Stronger Than Evil", thats respect!

This album where far ahead of it's time! when other bands played punk in Sweden Heavy Load delivered some kick ass heavy rock / metal. It was recorded before Eddy Malm and Torbjörn Ragnesjö joined and they released the EP "Metal Conquest", after that it just get's more epic and heavier....

Some bootlegged shit by a record label called Laserlight, Heavy Load never agreed to this release. The vocals have been moved around, extra choruses added and all is just fucked up. Just look at that ridiculous cover..

Release: Rocket - Caught In Steel, Compilation 1985Genre: Heavy / Power Metal
Countries: Sweden / Finland / UK / USA
Bitrate: 320kbps
►Mediafire
"Made to make your ears bleed - let's hope your neighbours agrees..." This album was compiled and designed by Anders Tengner, Johan Holm & Benggt Grönkvist for Virgin Scaninavia AB. Contains the exlusive non-album track "I Am Me" by Heavy Load!
1. Gillan (UK) - Your Mother Was Right
This song was originally recorded for inclusion on the "For Gillan Fans Only" album that was given away for free in the very first, and strictly limited, edition of "Glory Road". It's needless to say tat this track is unique, isn't it?
2. Warrior (US) - Fighting For The Earth
This is a new name in the neverending flood of great bands, spearheading the new wave of american Heavy Metal. Warriors brand of metal is devastating - areal facemelter! Here you can enjoy their debut singe in a special 12' mix.
3. 220 Volt (Swe) - Firefall Specialmix
Hailing from the northern parts of Sweden, 220 Volt is yet another proof to the fact that Swedish Metal stands in a class of its own. This is a previously unreleased, specially remixed, version of a track from their second album, "Power Games".
4. Gary Moore (UK) - Murder In The Skies
With a tribute to the victims on the Korean flight that was shot down by the Russian airforce, Gary Moore takes his guitar to the limit - and goes over the top! This is a track from the "Victims Of The Future" album.
5. Gillan (UK) - On The Rocks
Another great song from the classic Gillan line-up. This one shows lans talent for thoughtful lyrics with the music being the perfect vehicle for his undeniable voice. The track is collected from their best ever album "Glory Road".
6. Manowar (US) - Guyana (Cult Of The Damned)
Putting a strong emphasis on their barbarian image, Manowar plays about as heavy and hard as you can get. Fronted by ExDictators axeman Ross The Boss and brilliant bassplaer Joey De Mario, they let nothing stand in their way in the battle against all "false metal"! You can also find this epic piece on "Sign Of The Hammer".
7. Bedlam (Swe) - Take It To The Top
Bedlam, being a brand new Swedish fourpiece outfit, has already been rumoured a winning act. With the supreme power of drummer Bedlam Erikson, they got what it takes. This track is taken from their debut mini-album "The Beauties And The Beast".
8. Gary Moore (UK) - End Of The World
If talking about guitarplaying of the extraordinaire kind, Gary Moore is the name. Former Skid Row and Thin Lizzy string-king is more powerful than ever on his own. Gary Moore is a name to depend on when it comes to slick guitarwork. This song is taken from the "Corridors Of Power" album.
9. Heavy Load (Swe) - I Am Me
This is one of the first and finest Swedish metal-bands ever to record albums. Heavy Load was also the first Swedish band to claim international success. This fast track is a rare left-over from the "Stronger Than Ever" sessions in 1983 and has never before been released.
10. Gillan (UK) - Might As Well Go Home (Mystic)
A lot of bizarre humor and a neverending flood of singles, was the trademark of this, sadly enough, split-up group. Front by the Deep Purple mastervocalist, Gillan was one of the most interesting british bands during the early 80s. The featured track has never before been released on an album.
11. Manowar (US) - The Oath
With a speedy, powerful song from the machocombo at their very best, taken off the "Sign Of The Hammer" album, Manowar takes us for a ride into the depths of ancient fantasy.
12. Zero Nine (Fin) - Never Stop Running
Hailing from Finland, Zero Nine has made quite an impact in their native country. Their first album was produced by Ian Gillan of Deep Purple fame, but now they're back, relying on the power of their metal. This is their brand new singer.
