Gauntlet formed in July 2012 by the guitarist Nick Bardosis.The band finally formed after 4 months because the bass player came much later that the other 4 members. The band has a clear purpose to play heavy metal the closest way it was played in the 80s.

Influences of the greatest metal bands of the 80’s and many other bands that were moving in the underground scene are clear in the 1st demo which the band released itself in February 2013 in title ‘’Break the chains’’.

The band has a clear aim to compose and promote it’s own songs and never got involved in playing cover songs.
