2. It's Party Tonight
A toally style change from their earlier demos (who are pure heavy metal) to mainstreem melodic/aor rock. They should have focused on their original sound and put "Tiden är knapp and White Wizzard" on this 7" instead!.
Info: Formed during the summer of 1978 when Micke Höglund was invited to a jam by the WILD ZEPHYR members Mats Attaque, Ingemar Sallman, Bosse Berglund. This line-up decided to continue cooperation and took the name TRASH. In the spring of 1979 the band was invited to the (back then) popular Swedish TV-show DISKOTAKET. Before they get on the bus to the TV studio the band decided to change their name to TRYCKVÅG, because no one was really happy with the name TRASH.
After radio shows, demo recordings, gigs and line-up changes the band finally got the chance to record their first single with help from a local music store. This was when the confused period of TRYCKVÅG started. Robert Widell was recruited on keyboards for the band. The single was not exactly representative of what TRYCKVÅG mainly played, with a keyboard instead of guitar where not the same energy on stage and the spark of the band disappeared. But they stayed together and continued once again as a trio, without keyboards.
Tryckvåg disbanded in 1987 but reformed again under a 50th Anniversary in 1999 and are still active today!. A collection of demos, dubbed 'Demolition', was released in album form by Haban Records the same year. Check out their Official Facebook Page for more info and news!.
