Release: Jamie Lee Saint, MLP 1988
Country: Canada (Toronto, Ontario)
Label: Private / Black Swan Records #Larry 1/Larry 2
Edition: xxx copies
Format: 12" Vinyl
Samples: Breakdown / Woman of Mystery
Info: JAMIE LEE SAINT is the follow-up to BANSHEE, you know the band who released the single 'Breakdown'. The band includes 3 of the former members along with two guests and a new drummer (couldn't find out if they have been involved in any other bands, info welcomed). The MLP is not only a private release it's also one of the most "homemade" records I come across. The front/back covers is plain white regular sleeves with glued on artwork made in paper. Some copies seem to have come with a "red triangle" glued on as well. I am not sure, but this may have some relation to the illustration artist Kent Holm who is thanked on the back-sleeve (he made covers for AB/CD, Dag Finn, the Rockbox comp etc). A cool record worth to hunt down and ofc a must have for fans of BANSHEE.
You can listen to two of the songs from it here: "Woman of Mystery" and the new version of the classic BANSHEE 7" track "Breakdown".
Line-Up
Jamie Lee "Cooper" Saint - Vocals (Banshee, Jade)
Michael "Mladen" Zarron - Guitars (Banshee, Trip)
Chad Temple - Bass (Banshee)
Ian Turner - Drums
Guests
Rusty Hoffman - Bass (on "Surrender")
Mark Mouseau - Drums (on "Surrender)
Record Info
Produced by Michael Krowczynski.
"Surrender" produced by Jamie Lee Saint.
Thanklist
Lorenzo Michele Clauser, Michael Krawczynski, Sean Munavish, Kent Holm, Joey Vendetta, The Bird, and all the radio DJ's that keep METAL alive, I thank you, to Mladen Zarron I wish you magic.
1. Surrender (4:18)
2. Woman of Mystery (3:42)
3. Warchild (3:25)
4. Breakdown (2:56)

Rip and share by Midianchris, thanks mate!.
Uploader Notes: HERE'S ANOTHER EXTREMELY RARE DEMO FROM MY ARCHIVES!!!! Demonic Force was my "real" first band. The band formed in early 1988 after my previous band didn't work out. By late spring/early summer of 1988 the band recorded this 4 song demo on a Tascam 4-track (remember those??). This demo got us some gigs including an opening spot for female thrash band Meanstreak. As time went on the bassist (Mark) was getting into industrial/gothic/ rock and left the band to pursue other projects of that genre. The guitarist (Arnold) and I would continue on and eventually form the beginning of Mercenari, which of course would later turn into Midian. Two of the tracks "Nature's Warning" and "Dark Future" were still used and could be heard live at a Mercenari show and also these songs were re-recorded on the Mercenari 1989 demo. LIKE I SAID THIS A REAL RARE DEMO. NO ONE HAS THIS DEMO EXCEPT BAND MEMBERS AND A FEW FEW FRIENDS OF MINE FROM HIGH SCHOOL (maybe ha ha). NOW...IT'S YOUR TURN TO OWN THIS COOL RECORDING. The band never had a proper logo. I found this logo recently. I don't remember who exactly drew this. Could've been one of my high school chums...who knows. Enjoy!!!!!! (Chris Hawkins aka: Midianchris)
Mark Greenberg - Vocals, Bass
Arnold Marfoglia - Guitar (Mercenari, Midian)
Chris Hawkins - Drums (Mercenari, Midian)

Uploader Notes: I posted this demo on Lockjaw some years ago. Here's the history of this demo: In the 90's, Midian was looking for a bassist. This guy Pat calls me, told me he wants to try out. Later I meet up with him and he gave me this tape. Needless to say, he didn't get in the band, but he did give me some cool music to listen too. I don't have a list of band members. I only have the song titles. Enjoy this rare gem. MIDIANCHRIS
