Formed 1982 in Wigan, England. Their first 1982 demo was recorded with vocalist Dave Kenyon who later was replaced with Graeme Wyatt (Taliön, Lethal & Salem) for their following recordings. Later in 1982 Tröjan got to contribute with the song "Premonition" on the Metal Maniaxe compilation.

Tröjan recorded 3 more demos between 1983 and 1984 before they got a record deal with Roadrunner Records. The masterpiece Chasing the Storm was released on June 12th, 1985 and featured the line-up: Graeme Wyatt - Vocals, Pete Wadeson - Guitars, Eddy Martin - Bass and Sam Hall - Drums. The album have also been reissued on CD in 2007 by Metal Mind Productions.

I have no idea what happend between 1986 and 1988 maybe they just toured and did live gigs or just took a break. There actually exists a live bootleg recorded 19/1-1986 at Dynamo, Eindhoven which have some songs that would later be included on the "Taliön - Killing the World" album. Pete Wadeson also had a solo project during this time with Tröjan members and released a demo in 1986 entitled "Play with Fire". So I guess they had some things going on between that time.

Another album called "Twilight Sound" should have been recorded in 1988 with the Tröjan line-up, here under the band-name Lethal, I have heard rumours that this is actually a demo / unreleased album and that the mastertapes are still at the record studio / company. I don't know if this is true, so if someone have any info about this release please don't hesitate to contact me!

Anyway Tröjan would later reform under the name Taliön in 1988 by members Graeme Wyatt, Pete Wadeson, Phil Gavin and Johnny Lee Jackson, in 1989 they recorded a 5-track demo and also released their first and only official full-lenght; Killing the World on the Major Records label.

I don't know what happend after the release of "Killing the World", it almost seems as if they dissapeared from the earth's surface. If someone know anything about what happend and what the members are upto today please contact me at strappado@live.se.

Some fun info: Tröjan translates into "The Shirt" in swedish. When Tröjan toured in Sweden their merchandise sold out like hot cakes, everyone wanted a "The Shirt" shirt.
