This is a very curious release, because I didnt know what the correct band name of them was: According to MA, they stated as "THEE FINAL CHAPTRE", the cd cover named as FINAL CHAPTER and the demo cover has FINAL CHAPTRE on it! Hm, anyway, "It Is Written" seems to be their one and only recording and according once again to MA, this one was released on demo tape in a edition of 10.000 (which I can't believe, because I have never seen any copies from this demo and even most of the demo collectors didn't know them) and was also released on cd (my ripp seems to be from this cd) and if the info on MA is correct (less than 100 pressed) this cd is maybe one of the rarest metal releases ever!!! Enjoy it...Cover scans included with the file ;)

This is FINAL CHAPTRE...your "CD" is a bootleg...the bootleggers even wrote badly the name of the band in the cover.
Yep, I've talked to a band member and the correct name was THEE FINAL CHAPTRE! Here's what Gary saaid about the cd release:
Yes, probably less than 100 cds were pressed, but they were never sold, nor intended to be sold. They were made for distribution to radio stations, distributors, booking agents, a few select venue owners, etc. Unfortunately, I never even got a copy, but I heard it played a few times, and let's just say it kicked the cassette's butt!
The cover of the tape just says FINAL CHAPTRE.The insides really say thee FINAL CHAPTER before the songs...but to write to their fan club says :
"for FINAL CHAPTRE fan club and merchandise information send sase to po box 22869 Jackson,MS 39225"
About the CD, in 1991 underground unsigned bands still didn't use to send CDS to radios as it was very expensive form at the time...only signed bands did that, but on this i'm not 100% sure...
It's definetely a bootleg disc...
It's kind of an unusual set of circumstances, but the band's "official" name was "Thee Final Chaptre", The EP was entitled "It is Written", but there was such a rush to have the cover art approved, and get reels over to mastering plant, and to manufacturing, that someone "dropped the ball", so to speak on the proof-reading process. After over a year of rehearsing and doing live shows, we had found out the name "Final Chapter" was already trade marked. So as not to alienate our following, we changed the spelling of the name, and it was then trademarked as "Thee Final Chaptre". There were some "demos" put in circulation with the original spelling as "The Final Chapter", before this was corrected, and additional cassettes were introduced to the market. These were the cassettes that had the W.E.I. Records label, etc. on them. If my memory serves me right, there was a third batch (possibly the last reproductions) that carried a "bar code" on the J-Card of the sleeve. I know from contact with fans abroad that "very-many" bootlegs, and black market copies of this were in existence either currently, or at some point over the last 19 years! Although I can't speak for their quality, I can speak for the integrity and the heart and hope that was put into this project.
To be continued...
This is Tripp Andrews, lead singer for Thee Final Chaptre. The artwork on the cover of the album was created prior to the trademark name change. This is why they are different on the cover, the side and the inside of the tape. There were only 500 copies made and yes only a few remain still in the plastic wrap which I have. There have been a number of bootleg copies made. Even some on CD. But they are mostly over seas floating around Europe. Most of our sales were in Germany of all places. I hope this answers some questions. As for WEI records that was my family's company. Take care a god bless.
can anyone repost this? link is dead. :(
