Artist: Mog Ruith
Release: Independent, 2005
Genre: Black Metal
Country: Canada
Bitrate: 1201 kbps, .wma Pro lossless format
►Fileserve
1. Catatonic Stellar Illusions
2. Blackened by the Spiritual Domain
3. Heathen Blood
4. Autumn Conquest
5. Gathering of Desolates
6. The Ravenous King
7. The Ancient Ones (Live)
8. Outro (Instrumental)
Mog Ruith made a strong impression on the Ottawa Metal scene but disappeared soon after the release of this debut CD. An interesting Black Metal statement that made no bones about suddenly switching back to the Metal roots of Maiden and British Metal in general. I swore I saved the few remaining pictures and other goodies from their obviously neglected website before it was taken offline, but can't find them where I remember putting them, or anywhere on my comp. Shit! All that remains is the Encyclopedia Metallum entry linked above. According to said entry, guitarist/vocalist Paul R. Champagne served some time in Exciter, how this relates to Exciter band leader and guitarist John Ricci I do not know. Perhaps as a second guitarist. The Omega Order and possibly Krankenhaus Records appear to have the CD in stock. Whether this is the case or not would require an attempt to order it, and if it is available, there are likely very few copies left.
