WAR OF THE RING Copyright ARC 1981
Through Sauron's veil
One red eye pierces through the darkened skies
The Nazgul fly through the air
Shadows stain like black sin polluted rain
All are forsaken by fear
Mithril flash
And orc skulls smashed
And bones are dash to the ground
Within his tower, Sauron unleashes power
No sanctuary to be found
[Chorus]
Ring forged in Mordor's fire
Ringwraiths shall find you
Bearer of Sauron's ring
In darkness he shall blind you
Balrog’s breath, Mithrandir's death
But his spirit shall rise
Witch King dies, corrupting where he lies
Light reborn to the skies
Mordor's might, like an ever seething night
Spills like blood from a vein
Free people soon, prepare to meet their doom
Fate tips the balance again
[Chorus x2]
[solo]
[Chorus x2]
Blind you
Holy shit, thanks a lot for the help :) have been looking for the full/correct lyrics for a very long time. You made my night!
Pleased to help with the lyrics. I sometimes play bass for the Whitbread Brothers. I have known them for about 10 years. Geoff Whitbread typed these lyrics to accompany a couple of copies of War of the Ring they found in a box in their attic recently.
Thank you so much for share this!. Hm Attics and Basements are at times great finding places for rare stuff. Are the Whitebread bros. interested in reforming the band? After all the song "War of The Ring": has been covered by Roxxcalibur.
I joined the Whitbread Brothers on bass in 1998 in a band called Red Hunter. We recorded a CD in 2001 to sell on gigs, so far unreleased. This band performed till 2003 when John left. ARC reformed in 2007 with Geoff, Mike, and Martin Griffin on bass. I sometimes play bass for them. Occasionally a mint copy of War of the Ring turns up in a box in their attic and I sell it on ebay.
