Ferro & Fogo were one of the eldest hard rock/proto heavy metal bands in Portugal.
Here is their only album "Vidas" recently re-edited on a (cheap and not remastered) CD by Metrosom Records, including 2 of their 3 singles: "Sta Apolónia” (1982) and, expecially their “Super Homem" ("Super Man") from 1981, with a fantastic comics-style cover that is unfortunately not included here.
Their best track is "Bairro alto"...but it's a very good piece of hard rock, though there is no remastering job and the original production is pretty weak and primitive.
Original line up was:
Franjas (guitar, vocals), Alfredo Azinheira (bass), Necas (guitar, vocals), Carlos Alcântara (drums) e João Carlos (vocals).
