A Christmas Tale From...King Diamond?


















"The Puppet Master" album by King Diamond is one of the King's most macabre Horror concept albums, a musical and conceptual tour de force. To accompany the music, King Diamond was filmed telling the story of The Puppet Master in traditional creepy storytelling style. The harrowing tale is set in 18th century Hungary one dark Yuletide season, when an unusual puppet show creates a theatre sensation in Budapest.

At this show, King meets a beautiful woman who he strangely falls in love with, an outside force seeming to draw them together. They begin a passionate love affair, and one night King's lady decides to go out to the puppet show alone. She does not return, and King goes to the theatre in search of her. The fate that befalls them is both horrific and dismally tragic.

The music portion of the release is of course available everywhere for download, but I recommend purchasing this album if you enjoy this, it has a wonderful digipack foldout cover, with both the DVD of this storytelling presentation and the music CD.
