Despite their name, Power Metal are playing simple and plain, traditional heavy metal
This is their first album originally released on tape by Logiss Records, the most famous, active and long time running rock label in Indonesia.
We can consider Power Metal as the first, real "heavy metal" band coming from the country, being formed in 1987.
There were a lot of other bands who were playing from melodic hard rock - similar to many malaysian bands of the 80's - like Adi Metal Rock or Andrmedha or Roxx to a hevier sound (Axe Gang, who released the tape-album "Heavy Metal" in 1991, or Rolland Band) but Power Metal were definitively the band who was closest to the parameters of real heavy metal. Still with a lot of unnecessary melody and even more unnecessary ballads but with some clear and strong moments of real metal.
They became a sort of rockstar in their country and released a lot of albums in the years to come.
This is a recent re-release of their first tape-only album originally recorded in 1991 (some sources say 1987 but it's a wrong data). I am pretty sure that even the second and third album were re-printed on individual CD in 2008/2009. This CD is pretty hard to find outside Indonesia and I spent a lot of time before putting my hands on it
M.A. listed (until a few days ago) a sort of best/of compilation who gathered all the 8 albums on one CD only...it has been removed but I am pretty sure it was just a mp-3 only release packed onto a cd-r. It's pretty common to see overthere (Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, even in Malaysia too) this kind of home-made mp3/cdr cheap things sold on the street or even in music shop for people who can't afford the cost of a "real" cd. But it was pretty clear that an official silver printed cd couldn't pack 8 albums in only 80 minutes....
