PHOENIX from Piteå was a Melodic Metal band featuring Lars Hjelm and Bernt Olovsson of NAGAZAKI.
The MLP is dedicated to the memory of former vocalist Francisco Lundberg (R.I.P.). Recorded at Studio Recording, Piteå Sweden mixed by Peter Eliasson. Front cover by Dolores Lundberg (sister of Francisco Lundberg).
The album have been bootlegged on the 3on1 CD split 'Hard N Heavy Rarities Collectors Series Vol. 6' together with TZAR and ANTIX. Issued by Racer Records.

Formed as CRIER in 1982, changed their name to METHAL MUTHAZ later that year. They played under the METAL MUTHAZ monicer through the years 1982 - 1985 and later became SACRIFICE. The band went back to their former name CRIER again in 1986.
Bio:
CRIER/METAL MUTHAZ was formed in 1982 by Thomas Axelsson - Guitars, Magnus Olsson - Drums, Mats Svensson - Bass and Thomas Lundgren - Guitars. Vocalist Jeffrey Branscher joined the band in late -82 and the band adapted the new name METAL MUTHAZ. Drummer Magnus Olsson shortly after left the band and was replaced by Mikael Gustavsson. METAL MUTHAZ rehearsed, wrote new songs and went out on a local tour in Hässleholm.
Vocalist Jeffrey Branscher leaves the band in 1984 and are replaced with Mikael Söder, Mikael didn't last long and leaves shortly after he joined. Zenny Grahm now jumps in as MUTHAL MUTHAZ vocalist. The band records a couple of demos who they send out to various labels. Roffe Persson at EMI Music contacted METAL MUTHAZ and said they where the best band he had heard that year and that they had one of Swedens best singers (Zenny). METAL MUTHAZ was signed to EMI but sadly Zenny Grahm leaves the band and the contract ends. Anders Strengberg joins as vocalist and a 2-track demo is recorded, the band change their name to SACRIFICE in 1985 and becomes CRIER again in 1986.

Formed in 1982 as CRIER, changed name to METAL MUTHAZ in 1983 and then became SACRIFICE in 1985. SACRIFICE released a 7" single on Platina Records entitled "Street Fighter / Innocent Victim, (1985)". Anders Strenberg leaves the band shortly after.
The rest of the SACRIFICE members changed their name back to CRIER and recorded the song "Fantasy World" for the UK Ebony Records compilation 'The Metal Collection Vol.2 (1986)'. Other bands contributing was Swedish PHOENIX from Malmö and UK bands such as STORMCHILD, CENTURION, DRAGONSLAYER, FAST KUTZ and DEALER.
Anders Strengberg joins CRIER in 1987 but leaves again to join MERCY. After some line-up changes CRIER releases a 7" single in 1989 entitled "Bad Booze / Running in the Night" on the Hell Records label.
