BALTHAZAR was formed in Furulund Sweden in late 1979 but it was with the change of drummer and when they added a keyboard player in 1980 when they finally found their style. In 1981 vocalist Peter Tursch joined the band and they started to gain some minor success in their hometown and played local rock festivals and rock clubs and even played support act to TOMAS LEDIN in Dagstorp. They signed to the local Holiday Music and released their debut album ‘Hiding In The Closet’ in 1982. A single appeared in 1983 which was the last thing the band ever did. Peter was offered a spot as lead singer for SILVER MOUNTAIN. However he was a huge JOURNEY fan and thought SILVER MOUNTAIN wasn’t slick enough and felt way too messy so he turned it down.
