The "Sacred Knights" tape uploaded and shared by oldschool, many thanks mate!. Disciple was a christian melodic hard rock / heavy metal band formed december 1987 in Adelaide, South Australia. In May 1988 the band's first cassette "Sacred Knights" was released independently as a demo tape, later picked up for national distribution through a Brisbane record label, only released on MC. Disciple then recorded and released a vinyl single "I Wanna See 'Em There" which received airplay on SAFM on normal rotation.
Disciple opened for Stryper in their Adelaide concert on the In God We Trust Tour in March, 1989. Also supported Leviticus, Lightforce, Geoff Moore and Rosanna's Raiders. In 1990 the band's name was changed to "Mean Street" and played a mixture of hard rock covers and original songs in various pubs and clubs around Adelaide. Some time in the early 90s the band underwent a major change and resurfaced as "Johnson". A number of new commercial pop/rock songs were written and demos recorded. Some time during the mid 90s the band called it quits. More info can be found at Firestream Vault and their Facebook Page.
