Uploader Notes: Yes XYZ is a French band ! A lot of mistakes concerning this band all over the net. So here is their 1st EP released in France while they 4 members were still living in Lyon (France) and were of course all French at that period. Here is the real story concerning the most unknown period (from 1985 to 1989) of the band. Formed in 1985, after releasing couple demos, they released this 4 tracks EP in 1987. In Autumn 1988, the singer Thierry Illouz and the bassist Pascal Fontaine (their real name) decided to give a change to the band and left to America. The story tells that one day a woman lost her red glove that fall down in the street in America. By chance, one of the two musicians were there at this moment, saw this, took this glove to give it back to her. She was the boss of EMI ! ... or at least, she had the high function there.! A contract is signed with EMI and DON DOKKEN produced their 1st album "XYZ" (1989).
Why the name XYZ ? XYZ means "Examinate Your Zipper". That's why when you say XYZ to someone in America, he is going to check if he didn't forget to close the zipper of his trousers ! :)
Last thing, here is the line-up of this EP (with their real names):
Thierry Illouz (known has "Terry Ilous") : lead vocals
Hervé Alliroll (aka "Uncle R.V.") : guitar
Pascal Fontaine (known as "Patt Fontaine") : bass
Paul Villet : drums
Country: France
Bitrate: 320kbps
