Info: Lars-Åke and Åke was earlier in a band called OUT OF FUNCTION which was active in the late 70's/ early 80's. KEEN HUE was formed in 1982 and released a 7" single the same year and attended some rock competitions before changing their name in 1984 to ZOLTAN (the name of Draculas dog), a demo was also recorded this year. However they soon became KEEN HUE again and released two full-lenght albums, also contributed with the song "Fly Away Honey" on the 'Rockbox (1989)' compilation. KEEN HUE was the opening-act for MOTÖRHEAD and HELIX in 1987.
The band are still active today playing live at pubs and local festivals, only Kent and Stefan are the remaining original members. A video with the band performing at OrsaYran can be seen here.

Uploader Notes: Not much is known about GENOCIDE, but this demo has definitely never been ripped to digital before. I was lucky enough to meet someone who toured with them back in his days in MYSTIC FORCE, and still owns one of the GENOCIDE demos. It's elusive...it's brutal...it's GENOCIDE. Uploader Notes: After GRIM REAPER dissolved in 1988, lead guitarist Nick Bowcott was still hungry for more; thus BARFLY was born. Barfly was a 5-piece powerhouse hard rock group reigning from New York. This album, while completed and mixed, never saw the light of day and no more than a handful of copies exist still today.
This is some seriously rare stuff fellas, and I'm lucky enough to own one of these bad boys as well as being in close touch with Johnny, Dave, Kevin, and Charlie from the band. You won't find this anywhere else, it's been in my possession for awhile and I decided it was definitely time to share this one! Dig it.

It featured possibly one of the greatest selections of NWOBHM sleeper hits ever heard in 1 place; taking the best of the best and slamming them all onto 1 release. With many rare tunes that barely ever saw a release in any other form such as Crucifixions '82 version of "The Fox" (which NEVER saw a release off this comp), the superior quality of Axis' "Flame Burning On", Hellanbach's "All The Way", and Persian Risk's "50,000 Stallions"...how can you go wrong here? This is hands down one of the greatest NWOBHM compilations ever put together.
