Compiled by DuD Rockklubben (Drag Utan Drog) and ABF who also released 'Första Vinylen (1982)' / 'Andra Vinylen (1983)' and '3:an (1983)'. 'Quattro' is the 4th comp. in the series. Comes w/an EXTREMLY pink inner-sleeve/alternative cover with a message that this is not the original cover and with a angry note at the bottom claiming the director at the printing shop for being a incompetent liar. :)
Most of the bands are softer hard rock/rock and nothing special. However DON'T miss Whirgin - Run, Run, Run, this is an solid HM gem in the same class as MINDLESS SINNER, TRYCKVÅG, ZONE ZERO, KEEN HUE etc. I have graded some of the songs woth checking out with an "!".

As requested by Hobgoblin, here is the 'Inner Oceans' album of XLR8R.
Info: Newcastle upon Tyne Hard Rockers with an excellent vocalist in a traditional vein that recorded two interesting demos including 1992's 'Chemical Entertainment'. Drummer Martin Douglas is ex-DRAX. Vocalist Mark Savage is the ex-drummer of MANTAS and WAR MACHINE. Ex-VENOM guitarist Al Barnes joined the band but left prior to recording the album. Received good press and supported notable acts such as THUNDER. Bassist Simon Douglas left to be replaced by Gary Foalle.
XLR8R released the self financed album 'Inner Oceans' limited to only 500 copies. Production was handled by ex-TYGERS OF PAN TANG guitarist Fred Purser. Edward Box would later found ARCH STANTON before going solo to issue the 2002 'Plectrum Head' album through the Finnish Lion Music label. Info: Formerly known as THE SIRENS under which name they released one single: "Crusade" - b-side: "Close to Tears" on their own label. A change of name to STRANGE DAYS saw them signed to local record label Powerstation Records, releasing the single "Within These Walls" with the B-side "Swimming Into The Doctor" in 1983 [#OHM1], Recorded at Amazon Studios Liverpool and produced by Kevin D. Nixon. They appeared on Channel 4's revolutionary music show "The Tube" in 1982 performing their self-penned 80's anthem "Scream in Vain". Drummer Dean Thackray is now one of the best Printers in Barmby Moo.
