Genre: Progressive Heavy / Power Metal
Country: USA

►Mediafire (password: Dane)
Rip and share by nonseinormale65, thankyou!!
Uploader Notes: I received this demo in a trade time ago and,for all i know, this is the first time it surfaces on the web!!!
In 1989 Sean Blosl (guitar) left the band during the tour with FORBIDDEN and DEATH ANGEL and was replaced by Jeff Loomis;in 1990/1991 SANCTUARY recorded this ten tracks demo for a future third album but this album was never released because the pressure from their label (Epic Records) to fit in with the flourishing Seattle grunge scene caused disagreements between band members (regarding the band's musical direction) so in 1991 SANCTUARY officially disbanded.
After disbanding, Warrel Dane, Jim Sheppard and Jeff Loomis soon formed the band NEVERMORE and some songs (properly rerecorded and produced) from this demo were used in their future cds.

Lenny Rutledge - Guitar
Jeff Loomis - Guitar
Jim Sheppard - Bass

2 demo songs with HEADFORCE. Release dates unknown, but probably late 80's. Included is also the song "Rocking in the City" taken from the 'Kvalité (1990)' compilation.
INFO:
HEADFORCE was formed autumn 1984 by Pelle Almgren - Guitar, Roger Claussen - Guitar, Peter "Skinnet" Olsson - Bass, Thomas "Massi" Karlsson - Drums and Micke "Räven" Holmberg - Vocals. Roger left shortly after the formation. HEADFORCE did the opening act for EUROPE in 1985 at Folkets Park and later recorded their first and only single 'Love Heart / Take Cover (1986)'. At this point they also participated Rock-SM and went to the DS finals. Micke "Räven" Holmberg left the band in autumn 87 and was replaced with Roger "Lolle" Samuelsson. Roger Claussen joined the band again.
HEADFORCE attended another rock-competition in 1987/1988 which toured all over sweden. They also participated in Bondebackfestivalen in 1989 then Micke "Räven" Holmberg and Peter "Skinnet" Olsson left the band. They where replaced with Tommy Adolfsson (Hindorf) and Janne Olsson. The band contributeded with the song "Rocking in the City" on the 'Kvalité (1990)' compilation and split-up the following year. 22 years after the split-up the band did a reunion gig at Wetternmagasinet (2009) (rehearsal video here).
Interesting Facts: A promo-video was recorded for the song "Take Cover" sponsored by TBV, however it's unknown if it was released to the public or not. Peter "Skinnet" Olsson played the role as satans son.

This is the same band who had the songs "Fatal War" and "The Strong Will Survive" on the obscure gotland compilation 'Rock Från Havet (1986)'. I don't know if CHALLENGER was from Gotland or if they went there to record these songs.. but one thing is for sure - they are power metal monsters!. Their demo from 1988 are a bit softer though, but still delivers great melodic / heavy metal!. GRAB A BEER AND GET READY FOR CHALLENGER!!!.
Johan Hallberg are still an active musician, doing his own stuff. CHECK IT OUT.

The 1st single from BAKRUS - later known as fORCE. Recorded at Nacksving Studio - 2 september 1979. Photo by U. Nicklasson.
Started in 1979 when Sven, Roland and Kent ran into Bernt "Räven" Sandin with his motorcycle gang. They started to talk music and later began to jam together. BAKRUS played at some of the recreational's and schools, but were a little too rowdy and beer-thirsty for the show-premises. The band split around 1982 as the rehearsals where more focused on beer drinking than playing. Reformed as FORCE in 1983. Sven are today active in the band SMILING HEART, he also have a blog with a lot of information about his music music career: smilingblues.blogspot.com
