This album is a little testament of what was going on in a region of the state of Pennsylvania, USA. It is a blend of Hard Rock up to Thrash Metal in a period of 1984-1994. It is still available both in physical and digital form for $ 6.00 at least. So after hearing this, why not buy the 2 disc CD compilation. I did
The Lehigh Valley Rocks!!
The Best of 1984-1994
From a music scene that has spawned past and present musicians of such worldwide known and platinum selling acts such as Fuel, Megadeth, Mr. Big, Poison, Lynch Mob, Suicidal Tendencies, Alice Cooper, Stone Sour, Seether, and even Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake comes the release of a very special double disc release! The Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania (Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton) has always been a breeding ground for extremely talented musicians. Musicians such as Jimmy Degrasso, Greg Howe, Richie Kotzen, Kevin Miller, Robert Mason and Roy Mayorga all got their start gracing the stages of the Lehigh Valley area’s clubs. And while these musicians went onto varying degrees of success, the collective bands from the Lehigh Valley have long been a "forgotten stepchild" to the often fickle music business.
December 19th ,2006 marked the CD release of “The Lehigh Valley Rocks!!, The Best of 1984-1994” that pays tribute to some of the Lehigh Valley's greatest bands in the hard rock and heavy metal genre from that era. Without a doubt, the area's music scene was especially vibrant and had an exorbitance of talent during these years. Many bands from around the country, that were far less talented than some of the Lehigh Valley talent, were thrown into the national spotlight while the musicians and bands of the area were often overlooked. “Give credit where credit is due” is what is often said, and with this CD, we do just that! The musicians and bands of the Lehigh Valley area, without question, DESERVE that!
This double CD release features 30 songs from 27 past AND present Lehigh Valley area bands. All styles of hard rock and heavy metal are covered on the disc. From AOR friendly hard rock, to glam, to progressive metal, and even power metal and thrash it’s all here! Some bands on the disc released music available internationally such as Teeze, Leviathen, Dirty Blonde and Vicious Barreka. Others such as Washed, The Mob and Destroyer were included on compilations released in the United States, some that included the likes of bands such as the Bulletboys, Winger and Kix.
An enthusiastic "buzz" about the project has been generated already through the internet, radio and print media. Rave reviews have been coming in from around the world for this unique collection of mostly undiscovered talent.
We ask that you take the time to check out our myspace pages that we have set up for the project (www.myspace.com/lehighvalleyrocks and www.myspace.com/lehighvalleyrocksmusic). Our goal with these releases is a simple one, to let all those that come in contact with them, that without a shadow of a doubt, then, now and always, THE LEHIGH VALLEY ROCKS!!
Sincerely,
Butch Maloney and Tom LeFevre

Obscure single of the US hard rock / heavy metal band ALEXANDER released on the Needle Records label sometime in the 80's [#ASCAP 4150]. The B-side "Hellrider" are the real jewel here!, a NWOBHM influenced song with vocal-parts reminding me a bit of ANGEL WITCH. If someone have the release year for the single pelase leave a comment, all additional information are also welcomed!!. Thanks to the original uploader for the rip!!.

Here is a rip from the CD-R demo of DEATHMASK, never officially released. I got a copy sent to me by the band in early 2010 to get a preview of how their new album "Sitting in the Dark" would sound like. I enjoyed every little bit of it and IMO I think it's a very strong comeback from these US veterans who debuted already in 1986 with the album "Split the Atom", which nowdays is a classic record that shouldn't have passed any metalhead unnoticed!.
DeathMask recently self-released their new album "Sitting in the Dark" and made it available for digital download and also original CD copies!. You can pick it up at CD Baby / iTunes and DigStation. Here is your chance to give these amazing guys the support they deserve (which they didn't had much of back in the 80's!!: read their biography written by vocalist Steve Michaels).
Don't forget to check out DeathMask at Facebook/Youtube/Myspace for updates and news!.
Sitting in the Dark release Info:
“Sitting in the Dark”, recorded a mere 25 years after their debut release of “Split the Atom” in 1986, marks the return of New York metal outfit DeathMask. Containing 9 new tracks and a faithful cover of Black Sabbath’s “Symptoms of the Universe”, “Sitting in the Dark” delivers a powerful punch, combining classic British metal influences with the power and intensity of good old US metal. Unaffected and uninfluenced by the many sub-genres of metal music prevalent today, DeathMask instead delivers music from the gut, resulting in a trademark sound and style that harkens back to the formative days of Heavy Metal, but yet is all their own. From the thundering opener “Time of the Signs” right through to the final intense moments of closing track “Season of Hatred”, “Sitting in the Dark” takes the listener on a satisfying trip down the road that made you a metal fan in the first place….This is PURE METAL.

Rip from the extremly underrated private s/t MLP of FALLEN ANGEL released in 1991 [#UNI 2474]. Recorded & Mixed at Studio Eagle One in 1990. Engineered by Magnus "MB" Berggren, Niclas Windahl & Jonas Kuling. Cover artwork by Paavo Rosengren. Dedicated by Johan Bülow (vocals) to his father Jan Bülow. I believe it came with an lyrics sheet (at least some copies did). If someone have a scan of it please get in touch or just put a link for it in the comments, thanks!.
Line-up:

Matte Hedenborg - Bass/Vocals
Fredrik Linden - Drums
Joacim Persson - Lead/Aucustic Guitar/Vocals.
Roland "Rulle" Rosenqvist & P-O Larsson - Additional backing vocals
Fredrik Landh - Additional aucustic guitar on "Trapped in Sibiria"
Info:
Swedish thrash metal act FALLEN ANGEL was founded in Örebro in 1987. The band released two demos in the late 80s "Fallen Angel [Demo] (1988)" / "Hang Over [Demo] (1989)" and played all over the town at the same time. Jörgen Sigfridsson loved this band and made sure he got the rights to use the track "Etanolic Intoxication" from the "Hang Over" demo for a 4-track split vinyl single that he was going to release on his own Opinionate records. The single was released in 1990 and the same year the band went into the Eagle One studios to try out new material. Instead of putting out another demo the band decided to self finance a vinyl release. The end result is this self titled 7-track album (on some sites its named "Trapped In Sibiria").
By this time the band its loyal followers and they worked hard to get as many live gigs as possible. They opened up for CANDLEMASS at this time and it wouldn’t take long before labels were showing interest. The band finally signed to Massacre records but when their first full length album "Faith Falls" appeared in 1992 the band had lost its momentum and soon called it a day. Vocalist Johan Bülow would later record with one of Örebros finest acts WOLF.

Rip and share by Lunaboy, thankyou!!
Uploader Notes: This is the 3rd release of MEDUSA TOUCH, the CD is sold out and now it's quite rare. Music is very unique mix of Heavy Rock and NWOBHM/Heavy Metal/Doom Rock, similar to PAGAN ALTAR with female vocals. But judge by yourself. I think it's the first CD rip of this release in whole net (sorry for the low bitrate). A review can be found at Hellride Music and more info at their Official Website.

File Info: MP3, 192 Kbps
Hoster: ][ Multiupload ][
Upload & share by Undertaker at Stay Heavy blog. Tnx man, great alboum! Cheers!
Uploader notes :
Listening to Wastoid is almost like taking a trip 20 years back in time. I first became aware of this band at the Classic Metal Fest 3 in Chicago and was quite impressed by their performance (somehow because of the name, I wasn't expecting much - my bad.) It's a bit difficult to pinpoint their sound, but I think a pretty accurate description would be a mix of NWOBHM along with some 70s hard rock, and a bit of a Manowar-esque vibe (especially live.) Sounds a little cheesy maybe? Well, to some extent they are, but in a good way. The bands seems to have gathered influence from all the big classic bands - Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Angel Witch, even some Black Sabbath vibes here and there - just to name a few. While some bands attempting this would probably just pass as copycats, Wastoid actually do this very well, and want it or not, you'll end up spinning this CD over and over, banging your head with your fist in the air. Most songs are so damn catchy that I just can't get them out of my head. I haven't seen so many hymns to rock 'n' roll in a LONG time, and definitely not on such a recent release! Lots of cool guitar riffs ("Leif Erickson Overture" will make you overdose on guitar melodies) and very good vocal work overall. Ah hell, I might as well stop right here or this will drag for several pages. Reviewed by: Michel Renaud, The Metal Crypt Review
Line Up :
Chris Cozine - Vocals
Chris DiPinto - Lead Guitar
Joe Johnson - Lead GuitarSophy - Bass
Ben Brower - Drums

Requested by Maven. Rip and share by metalfranc, many thanks!
Uploader Notes: Formed in 1979, LEGION is one of the oldest russian band still active. This is their 2nd album (their first called "Битва" (1981) means "Battle") released only on audio cassette without covers which was usual in the 80's in USSR cause their was no LPs at that moment. It's not a demo like it's said everywhere on the net, just an album on cassette. Enjoy !

09 - Breakout
10 - Dragonslayer
11 - Take Your Chance
Tracks 1, 2, 3: Dead When It Comes To Love 7" single 1982
Tracks 4-8: For Europe Only EP 1983
Tracks: 9, 10, 11: Breakout 7" single 1984
This album was my ever first attempt to produce a compilation/best of album. The idea behind this was of why download 3 separate archives with different bitrates and all? So back in 2008 I made this little neat package all in one go. The name and art work is in reverence to their 1984 EP.Almost forgot to mention that there is enough art work to make your own CD with a simple booklet, backcover, spines. etc
Enjoy!!

That means at the future, the ancestors all of those bands, must be teached from the valiable past, so they can continue the fabulous course of this music."
